Compensation:  $65 - $75 Hourly + Commission

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in traditional Chinese medicine, specializing in acupuncture techniques to promote patient health and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will assess patient needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and provide therapeutic care aimed at alleviating various ailments while fostering a balanced, holistic approach to wellness in McKinney, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and medical histories.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and wellness goals.

  • Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile needles in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.

  • Educate patients about the benefits of acupuncture and provide guidance on post-treatment care.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize results.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to offer integrated, holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

  • Stay current with advancements in acupuncture practices and techniques.

  • Offer lifestyle, dietary, and herbal recommendations where appropriate.

  • Ensure ethical practices and a clean, safe treatment environment at all times.

  • Make referrals to other team members as needed for additional treatments or services.

Qualifications:

  • State License to practice acupuncture.

  • Completion of an accredited acupuncture program.

  • Certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

  • Strong understanding of traditional Chinese medicine principles.

  • Knowledge of complementary therapies (e.g., cupping, herbal medicine) is beneficial.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to patient care.

  • Experience in a clinical setting or private practice is a plus.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
