Compensation: $65 - $70 hourly

Nexus HR is looking for a PRN Pharmacist for a retail pharmacy in Peoria, IL, on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate must be a licensed pharmacist in Illinois with at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.

The pharmacist is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment. The role involves managing clinical care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting inventory and operational efficiency. The pharmacist will also play a key role in delivering excellent customer service to patients, providers, and business partners while helping maintain a positive and professional pharmacy environment.

The pharmacy is a comprehensive primary care provider based in Illinois, with two locations in Peoria and Galesburg. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care through a primary care model that is simple, convenient, accessible, and affordable for all.

To better support our patients and providers, we offer on-site pharmacy services designed to streamline care and improve patient outcomes. Our pharmacy team includes a registered pharmacist and full-service pharmacy services at our Peoria location, while our Galesburg site operates as a telepharmacy to ensure seamless access for patients in that region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate prescription filling.

  • Manage clinical care, patient interactions, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

  • Control pharmacy sales, expenses, and inventory management.

  • Maintain a positive image through high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and partners.

  • Protect and develop department assets, ensuring efficient use of resources.

  • Ensure department staff provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, maintaining a positive pharmacy image.

  • Continuously improve the pharmacy's reputation through excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist

  • Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Illinois

  • Strong knowledge of Illinois pharmacy laws and regulatory standards

  • Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, etc.

  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems 

  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
