Medical Director (Part time or Full time)

Compensation : 300,000 to 350,000/year

Allmed Health Center is currently in search of a committed and compassionate Medical Director to join our team. This position is perfect for a physician with a background in healthcare who is enthusiastic and dedicated to making a significant difference in a clinical setting. The role will be instrumental in enhancing patient care, operational efficiency, and overall performance within our practice.

We are currently open to contracting arrangements, welcoming physicians available for part-time work or short-term engagements lasting just a couple of months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Oversight: Provide medical oversight and guidance to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care. Collaborate with healthcare providers to establish and maintain clinical protocols, standards, and procedures.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare services. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

  • Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve the quality of care and patient outcomes. Implement strategies to enhance clinical effectiveness and patient satisfaction.

  • Staff Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to healthcare providers and staff members. Facilitate training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to optimize patient care delivery and achieve organizational goals.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to patient safety or organizational integrity and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Implement measures to enhance patient safety and minimize adverse events.

  • Administrative Duties: Oversee administrative functions related to clinical operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school; board certification in pediatrics is preferred.

  • Previous experience as a medical director or in a healthcare consulting role preferred.

  • Board certification in a relevant specialty

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas

  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a healthcare setting preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring regulatory compliance

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology platforms.

  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional development, with a commitment to staying current on advances in pediatric medicine and healthcare delivery.

  • Should possess an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
