Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacist in Charge for a reputable client in the Oakland area. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Pharmacist in a  in Closed-door pharmacy, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living; and must be a licensed pharmacist in California.

About the job

The Pharmacist in Charge is accountable to the board for ensuring that a registered establishment complies with all applicable state laws and rules regarding the profession of pharmacy, medication production, and drug distribution. The pharmacist-in-charge is responsible for overseeing the establishment and carrying out any additional responsibilities related to that establishment's supervision that may be specified by the board in rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs the duties of a pharmacist working in a long-term-care pharmacy in compliance with policy and state/federal regulations.

  • Works with supervisory staff to continually develop and implement ideas for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.

  • Works independently; demonstrates leadership in the practice of pharmacy.

  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to maintain attention to detail in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

  • Strong ability to adapt and produce results in a fast-growing company.

  • Supervises pharmacy support personnel, which includes activities performed, work allocation between staff, and work performance (quality and quantity of work).

  • Delegates aspects of the practice of pharmacy to a pharmacy intern or pharmacy technician within the parameters of their job description.

  • Implements policy and regulatory required record systems and processes for the pharmacy.

  • Be available for on-call services if required.

  • Other tasks as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-years experience as a Registered Pharmacist in a Closed-door pharmacy, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living settings

  • Licensed pharmacist in the state of California

  • At least 2 years of experience managing a specialty pharmacy

  • Experienced and motivated pharmacist, determined to improve care for our patients

  • Able to work in Oakland, CA

  • Authorized to work in the U.S
