Board Certified Behaviour Analyst - Washington DC

Compensation:  $85 to $95 per hour

This is a part-time position that is 80% in the field in DC.

Work Schedule:

Total weekly hours is 5 to 10 hours per week

  • Within Monday through Friday between 4:00 PM - 7:00 or 7:30 PM on a 2.5 to 3-hour block
  • Saturdays  9:00 AM - 3 PM for a 3-hour shift. 
  • Team meeting last Thursday of each month 8 PM - 9:30 PM

Nexus HR is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in client homes throughout the DC for a facility that is committed to providing behavior-analytic services in a manner that is trauma-informed and kind through public speaking and direct therapy while ensuring we are always innovative, ethical, and excellent.

About the Job

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides supervision to clients and RBTs in client homes throughout DC. Provides training to new hires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person supervision of staff and clients
  • Observe students, create, and update programming using innovative ideas at least 10% of all hours
  • Train family members, teachers, and other providers on the implementation of behavioral interventions and ABA treatment plans. Update at least once every 6 months
  • Provide emergency response and crisis intervention as needed
  • Conduct intake assessments and FBAs as needed
  • Create, implement, update, and train on Behavior Plans
  • Writing progress notes for insurance purposes
  • Attend IEP meetings for clients as needed and collaborate with other providers as appropriate
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • BCBA credential required
  • High school diploma required.

Language Skills:

  • Must speak and understand English.
  • Preference is given to applicants fluent in an additional language (common needs: Spanish, French, Amharic, ASL).

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and stand up from the floor.
  • Must be able to run after a client.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must have a cell phone with texting ability and access to the internet for daily email use.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Gsuites (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Meet)

Other Skills:

  • Must be able to work remotely outside of an office without co-workers daily.
  • Maintain professionalism with peers, supervisors, clients, and their families even through challenging situations.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Be receptive to feedback (during and after supervision) and be able to implement it in multiple settings.
