Compensation: $28 - $33 hourly

About the Job

Staff Accountant and Inventory Control will help the accounting team with purchasing, AP oversight, expense control, inventory management, and other functions the accounting department needs.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with purchasing, expense control (budget vs actual), and AP oversight.

  • Attain and review price comparisons for major vendors to ensure consistently competitive pricing.

  • Develop and aid in essential financial reporting based on the needs of the accounting and finance departments.

  • Reconcile credit card and bank accounts.

  • Assist in special projects as necessary.

  • Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization.

  • Calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Solve practical problems and handle various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

  • Interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting preferred (not required)

  • Two to four years of experience in public/private accounting; experience in healthcare preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
