About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join a reputable FQHC primary care facility in Peoria, IL. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on family medicine, pain management, clinical assessments, geriatrics, pediatrics, and patient safety. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications. Your role will be critical in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will utilize your strong clinical skills and knowledge of family medicine, pain management, clinical assessments, geriatrics, and pediatrics to provide high-quality care to our patients. You will also use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. Additionally, your knowledge of patient safety practices will be critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Finally, your experience with electronic medical records and bilingualism in English and Spanish will be beneficial in providing comprehensive care to our diverse patient population.

  • Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care

Qualifications:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of employment
  • Experience in family medicine, pain management, clinical assessments, geriatrics, and pediatrics
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a primary care setting
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Able to work in Peoria, IL
