Compensation: $100 - $108 hourly | DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Telemedicine Pediatrician to provide clinical oversight and support to telemedicine providers managing well-child visits. This role primarily involves being available via tele-visit or phone for provider questions and ensuring high-quality pediatric care.

About the Job

The Telemedicine Pediatrician provides remote oversight and guidance to healthcare providers seeing well-child patients. They must be a California-licensed physician with a Pediatrics fellowship, available via tele-visit or phone to answer provider questions and ensure quality care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision & Provider Support

  • Offer clinical guidance and supervision to telemedicine providers caring for well children.

  • Be available via phone or tele-visit to answer medical inquiries and provide expert pediatric advice.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure that all pediatric telemedicine services comply with California state regulations and professional standards.

  • Review and support adherence to evidence-based guidelines and best practices in pediatric care.

Consultation & Decision Support:

  • Assist providers with complex cases, offering recommendations for appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and next steps.

  • Provide second opinions on clinical cases as needed.

Availability & Responsiveness:

  • Maintain timely and effective communication with providers.

  • Ensure prompt responses to inquiries within agreed-upon timeframes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience in Pediatrics.

  • Graduate of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

  • Licensed without restrictions in California.

  • Current California Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate in good standing.

  • Board certification through the American Board of Pediatrics

  • Experience with EMR/EHR programs is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to easily relate to children and work with families, and caregivers.

  • On-call availability via phone or tele-visit for provider support.

  • Expertise in well-child care, pediatric best practices, and telemedicine regulations.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
