Compensation:  $20 - $25 per hour 

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Spanish-bilingual Security Guard in the Los Angeles, CA area. The ideal candidate must have experience handling assertive patients and be skilled in providing excellent customer service, including professionally de-escalating and resolving client concerns.

  • Baton Permit 

  • Mace Card

  • Uniform

Schedule:  Mon-Fri 2:15 pm-7:15 pm and Saturday 8 am-4:30 pm 

About the Job

The Security Guard will help create an atmosphere of safety in the clinic by keeping a friendly personality, helping monitor the clinic, staff, and patient safety. Assist in closing the clinic, as needed.

The Security Guard also keeps the clinic, including the medical and non-medical staff, the patients, and everyone secure by monitoring access, investigating suspicious and unlawful behavior, and securing peace and order inside and around the clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and usher patients and clinic staff.

  • Provides general information regarding the clinic.

  • Keeps logs of incoming and outgoing deliverables and non-patient visitors.

  • Inspect and patrol the clinic and surrounding premises before and after shift.

  • Helps maintain the clinic by preventing loss and reporting damages in the building.

  • Investigate incidents and possible security breaches in the clinic.

  • Provide excellent customer service, including de-escalating conflicts and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.

  • Stay observant, handle physical tasks, and resolve problems or conflicts calmly and efficiently.

  • Coordinate with law enforcement, the fire department, and emergency medical personnel if necessary.

  • Helps in the opening and closing of the clinic and other physical operations in the clinic.

  • Other jobs that may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a security guard, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting.

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Active and valid California Guard Card

  • Baton Permit

  • Mace (OC Pepper Spray) Certification

  • Strong observation and conflict resolution skills

  • Able to complete incident reports and maintain security logs

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must provide own uniform

  • Available to work the posted schedule (Mon–Fri & Sat)
