Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 per year plus commission and bonuses based on volume of sales
OTE: more than $90,000 per year
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Senior Sales Executive for a growing healthcare company. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence by selling medical coding solutions to payor organizations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare sales and a deep understanding of the payor landscape, with a proven track record of success in complex, relationship-based sales.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end sales initiatives, including prospecting, client engagement, and closing deals. You will also mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored client solutions. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, relationship-building expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify high-value prospects through market research, outbound outreach, networking, and targeted campaigns.
Build and maintain long-term, consultative relationships with key stakeholders at payor companies, understanding their operational pain points and providing tailored solutions.
Manage the full sales process from prospecting through proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.
Execute customized sales strategies for high-value deals involving multiple stakeholders and complex decision-making processes.
Accurately maintain and report sales pipeline activities, performance metrics, and forecasts to leadership.
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and changes within the healthcare and payor sectors to identify emerging opportunities.
Provide coaching and support to junior sales staff, promoting best practices and continuous development across the sales team.
Prepare compelling proposals and lead the bidding process for RFPs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and account management experience, preferably in healthcare or payor services.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification is a plus.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals.
Expertise in CRM systems, sales tracking, and pipeline management.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience in mentoring or coaching junior sales staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic business computing tools.
In-depth understanding of medical coding solutions and healthcare payor operations.
Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment within healthcare.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
