Compensation: $200,000 to $250,000 per year
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a General Practice Pediatrician to provide medical care for a primary care outpatient clinic in northern California, Scotia, CA. The right candidate will have experience in primary care and is board-certified Pediatrician.
About the Job
The General Practice Pediatrician provides medical care for patients from birth to early adulthood. and provide medical counseling to the patient’s families, caregivers, and legal guardians. This can include education about the well-being of the patient, education about various conditions, and treatment plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct medical examinations on infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults.
Evaluate patients and provide a diagnosis of injuries, illnesses, and other medical conditions that may include developmental conditions.
Prescribe and administer treatment plans, including medications and therapies.
Administer vaccinations.
Prescribe and interpret tests and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
Provide discussions and explanations of procedures, test results, and treatment plans that may include medication and/or therapy.
Offer consultation and education to the families, caregivers, and guardians to minimize the impact of any medical condition to the patient.
Document and record medical impressions, laboratory results, treatment plans, patient records, and history.
Review patients’ developmental history and monitor developmental changes.
Refer patients to pediatric specialists as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience in Pediatrics.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in primary care
Graduate of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Licensed without restrictions in California.
Current California Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate in good standing.
Board certification through the American Board of Pediatrics
Experience with EMR/EHR programs is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to easily relate to children and work with families and caregivers.
On-call availability via phone or tele-visit for provider support.
Expertise in well-child care, pediatric best practices, and telemedicine regulations.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
