About the Job
This position is for our clinics, a multi-site medical group with locations in Los Angeles, El Monte, and Huntington Park. The role involves working 2 days per week, performing X-rays and bone density scans. The ideal candidate will have a California Radiologic Technologist license, with bone density certification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This is an on-site role with a flexible, negotiable hourly rate, offering a great opportunity for someone seeking part-time work in a dynamic and mission-driven practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic X-ray and bone density imaging following physician orders and established protocols.
Properly position patients and operate equipment to capture accurate, high-quality images.
Explain procedures and provide a reassuring environment for patients.
Ensure safety measures are followed to minimize radiation exposure.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly.
Accurately document imaging procedures and upload results to the electronic medical record (EMR).
Assist with patient flow and general clinical duties as needed.
Uphold HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.
Deliver excellent customer service in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear patient communication.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with proven skill in X-ray and bone density (DEXA) imaging
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Valid and Full California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
ARRT Certification required.
Skilled in operating X-ray and DEXA equipment in an outpatient or clinic setting
Excellent patient service, communication, and team collaboration skills
Strong understanding of radiation safety, positioning, and clinical protocols
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and PACS
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
