Compensation:  $23-$25 per hour DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support a manufacturing and distribution facility that produces specialized clinical and laboratory equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working around medical machinery and inventory systems. You'll contribute to a team committed to quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

About the Job

We are hiring on behalf of a client located in Sacramento, CA. This role will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, including raw materials and finished goods, while supporting quality control processes for specialized medical and laboratory equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory documentation, timely delivery, and adherence to internal compliance standards. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires strong organizational and communication skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials and third-party supplier products

  • Ship finished products to customers according to schedule and specifications

  • Operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts to transport goods within the facility

  • Maintain accurate records of received and shipped products in the inventory system

  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for all outbound shipments

  • Collaborate with the quality control team on equipment and product inspections

  • Conduct regular audits to track inventory levels and report discrepancies

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Proficient in inventory systems and basic computer software (Excel, shipping platforms)

  • Ability to operate handheld pallet jacks and/or forklifts

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with handling medical or laboratory equipment is a plus

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material-handling equipment safely

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
