Compensation:  $120,000 - $130,000 Annually

Clinic Hours: Monday – Thursday | 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Friday | 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at a Regenerative Medicine and Wound Care Clinic. About the Job

The Physician Assistant (PA) provides advanced clinical care to patients with acute and chronic wounds in collaboration with supervising physicians. The PA will evaluate patients, perform procedures, prescribe treatments, and manage care plans to promote optimal healing outcomes. This role requires strong clinical decision-making, advanced wound care expertise, and the ability to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments, order diagnostic studies

  • Conduct wound care procedures including debridement, dressing changes, negative pressure wound therapy, and other advanced modalities.

  • Prescribe medications, dressings, and therapies in accordance with state regulations and scope of practice.

  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and coordinate follow-up care.

  • Provide education to patients and caregivers regarding wound management, nutrition, lifestyle factors, and prevention strategies.

  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs, LVNs, and MAs to deliver interdisciplinary wound care.

  • Document all clinical encounters and care plans accurately in the EMR system.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and clinic protocols.

  • Stay current with evidence-based wound care practices and emerging technologies.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training related to wound care.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas and NCCPA Certification

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; wound care experience preferred.

  • Advanced Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent).

  • Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and ability to work autonomously.

  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.

  • EMR proficiency and strong documentation skills.
