Compensation: $23 - $26 per hour

Full-time and On-site 

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, accuracy in financial record-keeping, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job:

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded, organized, and maintained. The role requires managing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring timely communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-driven, and committed to meeting deadlines while maintaining professional interactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions.

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing and vendor payments.

  • Conduct credit card and bank reconciliations.

  • Monitor and manage incoming emails to ensure timely responses and follow-ups.

  • Ensure timely and professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal staff.

  • Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and maintain compliance with financial policies.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
