Infusion Registered Nurse
Infusion Registered Nurse - Thornton, CO
Compensation: $37 - $40 Hourly
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse for our Thornton, CO market who will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients, to include assessments, care planning, evaluation, and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services by the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.

Responsible for providing nursing services, procedures, patient education, clinical administration when directed, and ensuring medical supplies are available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients, their families, and care providers.
Establish a compassionate environment through emotional and psychological support.
Resolve patient problems and needs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
Document and communicate within the care team to maintain continuity of care.
Ensure the operation of the equipment.
Provide patient care in the infusion center, including assessment and administration of infusible products per clinical protocols.
Maintain patient records of vital statistics and pertinent data.
Clean and stock infusion rooms.
Perform venipuncture and administer injections as ordered.
Coordinate specialty lab draws and monitor vital signs.
Conduct patient intake, updating current medications, allergies, medical history, and recent physician or hospital visits.
Educate patients.
Participate in team problem-solving and assist coworkers as needed.
Perform related medical and non-medical tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, including one year in infusion.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.
Registered Nurse with a valid license in Colorado.
Current CPR certification.
CRNI certification preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive knowledge in using Medical equipment (vitals machine, infusion pump, oxygen tanks, nebulizers).
