About the Job
The Pharmacy Clerk/Delivery Driver will manage both delivery operations and in-pharmacy administrative responsibilities. This hybrid role ensures seamless coordination between dispatch, pharmacy staff, patients, and partner facilities. The individual will uphold strict confidentiality standards, elevate service quality, and support the pharmacy’s commitment to operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations
Execute prompt and accurate delivery of medications and medical supplies in accordance with pharmacy dispatch protocols.
Generate, validate, and reconcile delivery manifests using the pharmacy’s electronic systems.
Prioritize and optimize delivery routes based on urgency, distance, and internal requests.
Ensure timely, secure, and documented deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Complete all deliveries in compliance with safety standards, routing guidelines, and performance expectations.
Serve as a professional liaison with patients, caregivers, and facilities during delivery interactions.
Pharmacy Clerk & Administrative Support
Respond to customer inquiries professionally, both in person and via phone
Process necessary prescription, insurance, and customer information to support order completion.
Prepare accurate order documentation for review and fulfillment by the pharmacy technician and/or pharmacist.
File prescriptions, records, and documentation as needed.
Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties essential to daily pharmacy operations.
Maintain stringent HIPAA compliance by safeguarding all Personal Health Information (PHI).
Qualifications:
1 year of Pharmacy Clerk experience or comparable work experience.
Experience in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living is preferred.
Verifiable High School diploma or GED.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
