IT Associate
IT Associate - Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $25 - $26 per hour
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a skilled IT Associate. This role is onsite and requires 50% travel to clients’ sites in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate must have 2 to 5 years of IT experience and hold any relevant IT certification. We are seeking someone who is reliable, proactive, and able to communicate effectively when solving technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job
In this role, you will support users and systems across these locations by providing technical assistance, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting with daily IT operations. You will also help with system administration tasks, troubleshoot network issues, maintain documentation, and support cybersecurity best practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, working in a dynamic environment, and collaborating with a growing IT team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device issues.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.).
Support Windows/macOS/Linux environments and Active Directory management.
Perform system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance.
Manage user accounts, access controls, and security policies.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for repairs and replacements.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures for future reference.
Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and procurement.
Provide basic training and support to end users for IT-related queries.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in IT support or onsite technical roles.
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, etc.).
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise applications.
Familiarity with IT security principles, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
