Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for an organized and dependable Office Assistant to support our Finance Department. This role is essential in ensuring smooth office operations, handling clerical tasks, and assisting with company logistics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
About the Job
As an Office Assistant for our Finance Department, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day administrative tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. You will handle mail distribution, banking transactions, check posting, collection calls, vehicle registrations, and office supply management. This position also includes running errands such as grocery runs and lunch pickups. We are seeking a team player who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and can adapt to the changing needs of the office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pick up, sort, and distribute mail from the post office.
Scan and forward mail to the appropriate companies or departments.
Perform banking duties, including check posting and deposits.
Make collection calls and send out collection notices.
Manage company vehicle registrations, smog checks, and title transfers.
Handle office grocery runs and lunch pickups as needed.
Procure office supplies and manage inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of office or administrative experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Experience in Bookkeeping is a plus
Proficient in using QuickBooks.
Valid CA driver’s license (required for errands and vehicle-related tasks)
Experience in doing customer collection calls is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
