Compensation: $72 - $75 Hourly | DOE

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacist in Charge for a reputable specialty pharmacy in Sacramento. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Registered Pharmacist in Long-Term Care and/or Assited Living settings and must be a licensed pharmacist in California.

About the job

The Pharmacist in charge is accountable to the board for ensuring that a registered establishment complies with all applicable state laws and rules regarding the profession of pharmacy, medication production, and drug distribution. The pharmacist-in-charge is responsible for overseeing the establishment and carrying out any additional responsibilities related to that establishment's supervision that the board may specify in rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs the duties of a pharmacist working in a long-term-care pharmacy in compliance with policy and state/federal regulations.

  • Works with supervisory staff to develop and implement ideas for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.

  • Works independently; demonstrates leadership in the practice of pharmacy.

  • Strong attention to detail and maintaining attention to detail in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong ability to adapt and produce results in a fast-growing company.

  • Supervises pharmacy support personnel, which includes activities performed, work allocation between staff, and work performance (quality and quantity of work).

  • Delegates aspects of pharmacy practice to a pharmacy intern or pharmacy technician within the parameters of their job description.

  • Implements policy and regulatory required record systems and processes for the pharmacy.

  • Be available for on-call services if required.

  • Other tasks as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Pharmacist in a Long-Term Care and/or Assisted Living setting

  • At least 2 years of experience managing a specialty pharmacy

  • Licensed pharmacist in the state of California

  • Experienced and motivated pharmacist, determined to improve care for our patients

  • Able to work in Sacramento, CA

  • Authorized to work in the U.S
