Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant in Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for treating deficits in gross motor function and strength and range of motion resulting from developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions in children and adults as outlined in the plan of care set forth by the Physical Therapist.
About the Job
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing and documenting treatment. The Physical Therapist Assistant is also responsible for communicating with patients, families, the Physical Therapist, and other health care professionals regarding treatment and progress.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care by implementing treatment plans set forth by the Physical TherapistComplete daily documentation of treatment on time.
- Provide physical therapy services in a manner consistent with the APTA code of ethics and standards set forth by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, other therapy team members, patients, and their families to enhance patient care
- Maintain current license through professional development and continuing education
- Follow and maintain procedures outlined in the Permian Basin Human Resource Manual, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Manual
- Preserve and protect patient confidentiality by complying and adhering to prescribed policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations outlined by Permian Basin Rehabilitation
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Comply with all safety and infection control procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director or Executive Director

Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited programCurrent Texas License as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Knowledge of the etiology and treatment of gross motor deficits resulting from developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Effective time management skills
- Citizen of the USA or authorized to work in the USA
Pay:
- $28.50 to $40 per hour with a $1,500 signing-on bonus
Schedule:
- 7:30 am to 6 pm Monday to Thursday
- Full-time = 30 to 38 hours/week
- Part-time = under 30 hours/week
