Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Pharmacy Delivery Driver for a reputable pharmacy in the Sacramento, CA area. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Delivery Driver.
About the Job
The Pharmacy Delivery Drive candidate will support both delivery operations and in-pharmacy administrative tasks to ensure the efficient, accurate, and compliant distribution of medications. The individual will serve as a key liaison between the pharmacy and patient/facilities, both in person and via phone, while upholding the highest standards of customer service, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute prompt and precise delivery of medications and supplies based on pharmacy dispatch protocols and customer demand.
Generate, review, and validate delivery manifests using the pharmacy’s electronic system.
Prioritize delivery routes and execute deliveries according to urgency and pharmacy staff requests.
Ensure timely, secure, and documented deliveries while maintaining efficient routing and customer satisfaction.
Complete deliveries in alignment with safety protocols and performance benchmarks.
Provide reliable support to ensure the seamless continuation of pharmacy operations.
Professionally respond to customer inquiries both in person and over the phone.
Prepare complete and precise order information for the pharmacy technician and pharmacist review.
Perform general clerical and administrative duties to support daily pharmacy operations.
Ensure full compliance with HIPAA by safeguarding the confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI).
Remain physically active, including standing, walking, and bending throughout an 8-hour shift.
Qualifications:
1 year of Pharmacy Deliver Driver/Clerk experience or comparable work experience.
Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during the day.
Experience in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living is preferred.
Verifiable High School diploma or GED
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Above-average typing skills.
Adept at reading/interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
